My passion for horses started at a young age. It was growing up in a small town, Marshfield Massachusetts. Strarting at the Marshfield Fair, where I got my first experience as a Hot Walker and Pony Girl. That festered my passion for horse racing.
I went on the MA Fair circuit gaining knowledge and experience, from that point, there was no turning back, I was hooked! I knew this was what I would do for life. I graduated to Suffolk Downs, grooming, hot walking and learning. I then went to Florida and finally purchased my first horse. Everything and anything went wrong with this horse. I didn't give up, through it all I received a valuable education. It truly was the school of hard knocks, and I became a
knowledgable and confident horse woman. It was time for my Trainer's License.
My second "First Horse" came to me at a cheap price, one of the leadistable 5"Throwaways" the racing secretary didn't even want to give me a stall. I believed in this horse and I believed in my competance to see what no one else had seen, this horse was a talented speedball, a Winner! I worked hard and listened to this horse. It was Fathers Day, my first start as a trainer, then my cheap castoff went Wire to Wire, we were Triumphant! Anthony's Pride went on to win five more, all the while jumping the class ladder. I knew then for sure, this was my calling and I had a bonafide talent. Since then I have many success stories including breeding, successfully developing young horses,
purchases from sales, claiming and even mentally challenged horses.
I take the time to listen to what my horses are saying, treating them with the utmost patience and kindness. A Healthy Happy Horse that loves their job will always give 100%. I have participated in racing all over the Northeast and have been especially competitive in New England, Florida and New York.
It is my sincere hope to develop a diverse and competitive racing stable,
putting my talent and experience to good use.
